Padilla Beard House : ウィキペディア英語版 | Padilla Beard House
The Padilla Beard House is a historic house at 18 Maple Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts. The relatively plain Greek Revival house was built c. 1850 for Padilla Beard, the first coach driver on the stage line connecting Boston and Reading. Beard stabled the horses in a separate building (now 26 Wright Street). When the line was replaced by the railroad, Beard became a conductor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=NRHP nomination for Padilla Beard House )〕 The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.〔 It has lost some of its Greek Revival features (notably the corner pilasters) due to the application of siding since its listing (see photo). ==See also==
